People, not places.

" The Lord doesn't call us to places, he calls us to people."
-Adam Thomason, the Village Church
Time goes by so quickly, I can hardly believe that it's February...

It's around this time every year that I really start thinking about and dissecting what I want to accomplish for the year. Last year I made a list of about 70 things I wanted to do and accomplish. This year I feel like just listening for what God has for me and then trying to be obedient.

I'm the type of person who loves to visit new places and has to fight the urge to constantly travel. For awhile after college, I really considered moving somewhere new and the thought still crosses my mind sometimes. But, I've come to realize that what truly makes a place special and meaningful is who you experience that place with.

Also, it's not all about us. I get so caught up in the "what do I want?" and forget there is so much more going on than the desires of my heart.

What if we all woke up and realized that the people around us need attention, accountability, and a lot of love? Not just those we are already walking through life with. Not just by asking the cashier at the grocery how their day is. But, really investing in others for a greater purpose.
