The Adventures of Miles and Ashley

"If dogs could talk, it would take a lot of the fun out of owning one."
~Andy Rooney

Yup, I finally pulled the plug and did it.

This my friends is Miles. He's half Labrador Retriever and half hound. He's sweet, skiddish, slobbery, slightly sneaky, and sleeping next to me right now.

I never would've dreamed what a responsibility having a pup is....or how guilty I would feel every time I leave the house and have to put him in his cage. But, I love him. I love having someone to come home to at night and something that totally depends on me. I love having a new running and movie watching buddy.

The past 2 weeks since I've had him have been a whirlwind of puppy training, moving into a new apartment, Thanksgiving, unpacking, shopping, more puppy training, and getting used to my new place. Since I'm not someone who does great with change, it's been interesting to say the least. But I'm loving my new place (pics to come as soon as it's all put together) and my new pup.

Miles is a skiddish little guy and gets really nervous in new situations, but once he's comfortable he can be so mischievous. We're still missing a bottle of hand soap and some glasses...

He made a friend out of our new neighbor...they're adorable and LOVE each other.

Loves walking on my porch and is just now getting bold enough to bark at people.

Total number of tennis balls knocked off the porch so far: at least 3. neat.

As Thanksgiving break is coming to an end, I hope everyone had a chance to spend time with family and friends...and maybe focus for a bit on everything we have to be thankful for.

Good night, XOXO.
